Paper Piecing foundations
Quilt Retreat
april 18-21
Want to learn paper piecing but you've always thought it might be too hard?
At this retreat, we will show you the basics of paper piecing which can be fun and easy!
What You’ll Learn:
-
How to use the foundation papers
-
How to use the “add a quarter” ruler to add your seam allowances
-
What the preferred stitch length is for paper piecing
-
How to paper piece so that you can get those crisp points
And... in the process, you'll make a wonderful quilt top called Prism by Fresh Lemons!
The final quilt measures 70" x 85

Once you’ve mastered the basics at this retreat, you will be able to easily move on to more complicated patterns.
Why paper piece? For some patterns, the ONLY way you can get those sharp points and crisp lines is by the paper piecing method.
This retreat will include instruction time along with a pre-printed foundation paper piecing pattern. You will also receive an “add a quarter “ ruler that makes the process simple.
Here are a couple of examples of the quilt that I have made, a patriotic version and a bejeweled version.
