Romantic Alabama Wedding | Gabbi and Mark
Gabbi and Mark’s wedding ceremony might have looked a little different than planned, but this didn't keep them from having a stunning celebration at the Lake House at Camellia Palms. Due to Covid19, they had a private ceremony, while their reception was a celebration of their love for one another that they shared with their family and friends on a beautiful fall Alabama evening.
While they celebrated their love story on our reception deck overlooking a sunset-laden Lake Jackson, Gabbi and Mark’s decorations of red and ivory antique roses, baby’s breath, and eucalyptus created a romantic atmosphere, and their special details like family photos and handmade favors left guests with memories that will last a lifetime.
DECOR AND DETAILS
Every part of Gabbi and Mark's celebration told of their love story, including their many photos and family heirlooms that were displayed for everyone to see. When the guests arrived they first noticed the table full of engagement and baby photos of the couple, and the Jenga block style guest book. Guests then were directed towards feastful charcuterie boards, while Gabbi and Mark made their way to Lake Jackson to take photos in front of our crescent moon arch adorned with cascading fall flowers.
Once Mr. and Mrs. Burch greeted their loved ones and everyone found their seat on the reception deck, guests found the tables decorated with matching florals by Soiree, antique golden candle holders, and jars of honey specially made by the groom's aunt for guests to take home with them. The ambiance of the ceremony was made complete with romantic styled lighting provided by The Celebration Place.
The guests were treated with a catered feast by Laurel Hill Grill and a raspberry filled marble wedding cake made by Publix. The perfect night of celebrating Gabbi and Mark's love for one another was completed with the couples first dance together as husband and wife. When the night was over, guests were surprised to find a myriad of thoughtful favors to chose from as a thank you for coming. These included packages of Gabbi and Mark's favorite candies, homemade candles, jars of honey, a make your own trail mix bar, and wild flower seeds. I am sure the guests would agree that this was a night filled with Gabbi and Mark's special love and a night no one will soon forget.
This celebration was special because it was so unique. Forgoing a traditional wedding ceremony, our bride and groom gave every small detail their own touch including their kiss. Throughout the night while the couple was enjoying spending time with their guests, loved ones would hold up a circular floral bouquet called a "kissing ball" above their heads to signal them to kiss. This made not only for a special experience, but also allowed Gabbi and Mark's guests to become involved in their celebration in a very unique way.
