As the organizer of a quilt retreat, you may be wondering, “What can I give my attendees/guests as a token of my friendship or thanks for attending?”
Quilt retreat favors don’t have to be expensive or elaborate and they can make your guests feel special.
Here are some suggestions from us at Camellia Palms!
Idea # 1 Put together a Swag bag
Pick up a dollar store cup that has a lid and a straw, often you can find these decorated for the season. Fill it with chocolate because who doesn’t love chocolate?
Throw in a fat quarter or two (we all have extras). Use this tutorial to turn them into roses for a lovely display!
Or, add 3 jelly roll strips (to play Left, right, center with).
Idea # 2 Print out a favorite, easy quilt or block pattern to share with your retreat friends.
Idea # 3 Mug Rugs
This is a great idea if you like to plan ahead and you have plenty of time to sew!
Sew mug rugs for all of your retreat attendees, then add a few homemade cookies and a dollar store coffee mug.
Idea # 4 Fabric fortune cookies with a sweet handwritten “fortune"
Choose fun puns like “May your stash find new wealth” or ``You will find that missing notion."
Idea # 5 Cord Keepers
Grab your scrap fabrics and make these adorable DIY cord keepers!
Idea #6 Personalized swag
If you have a vinyl cutting machine, you can personalize all kinds of items such as water bottles, wine glasses, coffee mugs, tote bags and more!
Idea #7 Bookmarks, notepads, & stationary
You can print out quilt themed bookmarks, add in a small note pad and pen because taking notes is important! You never know what you might learn or want to remember that you learned from another quilter.
Idea # 8 Quilter's Emergency Kits
This is probably our favorite, and super easy to put together last minute!
We hope you found some ideas you can use to your guests that “extra” special welcome when they arrive at your next retreat!
