What we offer Instructors:

Private Retreat House

Host your own retreats at our private retreat house with no minimum # of students


Perfect for 10-12 students

We sleep up to 14 guests across 6 bedrooms & 5 bathrooms, but we recommend you limit students to 10-12 for teaching purposes (and to give yourself a private room to stay in).


Complimentary set ups

We offer custom setups of retreat room’s tables, chairs, and space - whatever you need. You’ll be able to focus on helping your students instead of moving tables & chairs. Design walls, Irons and ironing boards, cutting tables and mats are included. 

What can you charge for your retreats?


The average price instructors charge per client for Open Sew or Open Crafting Retreats without instruction.*


The amount instructors charge per client for their Instructor-Led retreats at Camellia Palms, dependent on certifications, kits or product provided, & niche.*

*Prices across the retreat industry are not standard. We have Organizers who choose to host retreats at all price ranges from $350-$2,000 per client depending on their skill level, kits or instruction provided, audience and brand size, etc. This information is for educational purposes only and is not intended to be financial or business advice. What about marketing your retreats? 


All instructors & retreat organizers are responsible for their own marketing & filling their own retreats with clients. That being said, we are happy to share your retreats hosted at Camellia Palms with our community!


We have an email list of 3,200+ retreaters, plus a social media community of 9,000+ quilters & creatives. If you send us your marketing graphics, we are always happy to reshare to our community! We also have a Facebook group of 4,000 members that you are welcome to post your Camellia Palms retreats in.


Many of our past instructors have sold their retreats out within the first week of opening registration. Some have even sold out within a few hours. There is a very high demand for small group instruction with quilting & crafting instructors in a fun retreat setting!

How far in advance should you book?


Most instructors and retreat hosts book 6 months to 1.5 years in advance. They typically open up registration and start marketing their retreats 4-6 months ahead of registration, but we have also had many instructors who have successfully booked and sold out their retreats in 2-3 months.


What about meals?


We do not serve or include meals. But, we have everything you need to cook in our kitchen, or we have many great local restaurants nearby. We can also recommend a wonderful private chef.


Our kitchen appliances include a traditional coffee brewer, a Keurig, a crockpot, toaster, microwave, and blender. There is a full size refrigerator and freezer and gas range and oven for your use. We have all the utensils, pots and pans, drinkware, dinnerware, and silverware you will need for your group.


What about spa services?


We have several wonderful, licensed spa professionals that you can book for private, in house services such as massage, facials, etc.


What other activities can we do?


Most of our local quilt shops are happy to schedule private shopping hours with you, as well as pop ups or demos at the retreat house if you prefer.  The Chautauqua Winery is also nearby. Our town also has a few lovely antique shops and 2 Gals and a Goat, an organic soap boutique for you to enjoy.
